The Ohio Highway State Patrol and Shiloh Fire and Rescue responded to a commercial vehicle rollover accident on OH-13 near Noble Road Thursday. According to a witness at the scene, the driver of the truck attempted to pass a biker but lost control when re-entering his lane. The vehicle then veered off the road, rolling onto its side and spilling 60,000 pounds of garbage into a nearby farmer’s field.
Scanner traffic indicated that the driver sustained injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
Cleanup efforts at the scene are expected to take considerable time as crews work to remove the overturned semi, its trailer, and the scattered debris. Motorists are urged to slow down and remain alert in the area while crews continue their work.
