Please join us for a very short class on how to batter down the fears of winter hiking. The class will cover types of clothing, boots, and a few tips on how to keep warm while walking outside when windchills are -10°. The session includes a short hike to learn about secure foot placements, safety precautions and how to enjoy nature when the mosquitoes are not swarming.

Your guide will be RCPD volunteer Nelson Shogren, who thinks winter is the best time to be outside.
